Now that the ocean's gonna be a lake for a few days I was wondering what everyone does to keep themselves sane. Personally, I head to the gym and do hundreds of reps with 5 lb dumbbell's to work on my paddling, and I find all kinds of fancy stretches and exercises so when I get back in the water I'm ready to go.
That too haha I think just being around the water keeps me in a good mood, I usually put out a surf rod with clams on it on a surf rod and workout on the beach
bored and miserable. bug my friends and my shaper about board design. think about and design boards i'm gonna order for the spring. bug the shop owner about wetsuits. as if that were possible,i become even more annoying with each passing day. i should just disappear until we get waves. not to mention my poor wife
Hit the gym, do some fishing, do some work around the house which is usually neglected when the surf is up, weekend trips with the wifey.
I work all day plug the jetty tips nd the rivers all night after the gym and the occasional trip to block, or MTK to get on some nice blitz/ bigger fish situations.
This guy must be on tour... he gets self designed, custom surf boards made every spring... baller. LOLOLOLOL!

that is funny! i just got a gym membership and have been going and swimming laps in the pool, its a really good workout and helps build up my paddling muscles. plus i decided i should be a better swimmer if im gonna paddle out into heavy surf. i also recently downloaded the surfer's workout movie and do those exercises at the gym, its an awesome all around workout. but mostly i just dream about surfing, think about recent fun sessions, and sit on these forums and check the cams hoping that some miraculous swell shows up out of nowhere...
