If you are board ignorant, go see the guys @ Sweetwater - they will hook you up with the right board at the right price. If you have some board and local break knowledge, check out craigslist. If you don't see a board on the ILM listings, check out the Raleigh and Fayetteville listings. Might be worth a little drive to find the right ride.
sweetwater could hook you up for new boards. But for used go look at the local shops. But it also depends on how much you are willing to pay. Also there's a local dude named mike who buy's tons of used boards and sells them on ebay but i wouldnt buy from him. I did and he ripped me off. But it just depends on your budget.
Aussie island and Hot wax have some cheap used boards, surf city 's used selection seems a little more expensive but still good deals. Aussie does good trade ins too. i bought a Raynor from surf city for 300, broke the nose, put a hole in the deck, fixed it and traded it to aussie island for 250...stoked. also... whats the deal with this mike dude, i contacted him about getting a board and he definately seemed sketch. How did he rip you off?
he wanted 350 for a used funboard that was all dented it had a ding that needed to be fixed. But i still bought the board cause i needed it bad.
that mike dude was gonna sell me a board, and I was getting ripped off and I was like "dude chill out your squashin my balls here!" and he gave it to me for free. try it.
