First off I should start by saying we need to support print as a medium. Electronic is good and I love some trees but there is room for both. With that said, the prices of subscriptions are plummeting, and it's time to buy. Surfer mag is $15 for two years. Transworld Surf is $20 for two years and you get some sandals or leash. Of all the surfing mags out there which do you think is the best? Of all, not just the ones I mentioned.
good post and your right, everyone should support print the best images and stories are in print!! its worth the pocket change for a subscription!
I like these 3 Slide (longboard mag comes out 4 times a year) TSJ ( very well writen and talk about all aspects of surfing) Surfer I get surfer and TWS for free for some reason Cant figure it out but not gonna complain
Aussie Aussie Aussie! Australia's Surfing Life is phenomenal. Not only do they post some great articles and photo's, but they do so without our American prude-ness. Nudity and coarse language are the norm. The Surfer's Journal is my personal favorite. Of everything out there, it's the most relevant to my own experience (and probably most people here, as well). The American surf mag's (Surfing, Surfer, TWS) have sold out to the Britney Spears generation, in my opinion...I don't give a f#$% about my "core score". Last time I checked, surfing is about finding your own path, not falling in line with pop culture.
Texas' regional magazine, "Texas Gulf Coast Surfing" is pretty decent, but it's digital only www.tgcsthemag.com I guess the best of all would have to be "The Surfers Journal"
How to be cool like an Ausie I love that mag. I wish we Americans had the nerve to treat our magazines the same way the Ausies do....subscriptions would probably go up.
My fave magazine I really like the Surfer's Mag. It has good content and interesting articles. Well I like it. I dunno about other magazines, either. Any other good magazines?
