ha.... how did you dig up this particular thread?

who got some today? I got out monday and tuesday in Northern Jersey. Tuesday was better, but was mushy and never really got above my stomach. Wind was blowing hard from the south but there was a bit of protection so it wasn't too choppy.

Was my first time in Monmouth at a pretty well known spot with a reputation for localism. I was surprised at all the good vibes in the water. Lots of hooting, friendly faces, and no one was snaking or dropping in. I figured people would be going crazy to get every wave possible, but I guess everyone was stoked just to get some waves.

trying to decide whether to make the 2 hr trip tomorrow - every other site is showing the swell being blown out tomorrow in OCMD.

just got a new board so i think i'm going to make it but does anybody, maybe Micah, know why buoyweather and windguru are showing WNW swell tomorrow but SwellInfo is showing ESE?

    Thanks

This is just a guess but id say because buoyweather and windguru arent good sites for surf forecasting and are actually forecasting offshore wave conditions not surf conditions at the beach. OCMD does not get WNW swell at the beach EVER. somewhere out in the ocean may get WNW swell but not at the beach.

At any rate sunday morning in OCMD was definately SE swell so Swellinfo was right, and the other sites were wrong. But it was pretty weak....

surfed ocnj. went out even though it looked kinda ****ty at north st. was kinda fun for a little, then for 20minutes it was soo fun, then the wind picked up and killed it all. Got 2 waves that made it. worth it

Was out in Va beach down at Sandbridge yesterday. Was real clean, and had some push to it when it came in, but the decent sets were few and far between and basically went flat by noonish. Water was still WAY warm.
