The feed back you asked for....

Thanks for everyones input on Hyperflex wetsuits. Today was the first day I wore my AMP 5/4/3. It kicks ass!!! I was actually HOT, paddling out the first couple of times. No flushing at all, the suit is super stretchy and pretty comfortable. I have a 3/2 AMP thats an 08 model and it seems Hyperflex has made leaps and bounds in wetsuit material and construction. I was out for a couple of hours and didn't feel the cold until I got out to leave, and it was minimal.
I'm happy I decided to get the Hyperflex and not drop 4 bills on a suit.

So thanks again for the input and I'll leave more info at the end of the winter.

    GM

I have the same suit, going into it's second year. Love it too, great deal, have used these suits only for the last 3 years and the most recent Amp is super comfortable and warm.

Chest zip, as recommended by the shop I got it from. I have the 4/3 chest zip too, no hood, same quality.

you're gonna be pretty hot in that suit until it drops down to about 44 degrees or less.

ocmdsponger, think twice about a backzip in winter water under 52 degrees....too much flush factor.

    it's cold enough here,now,no one's getting hot.
the new 5 mil amp has entry issues and is a big pain, literally,to put on.
    they screwed up.
last year's was fine, and the flow is still good.

    2010/11 5 mil amp?
    are you really skinny?
or maybe my shop got a bad batch.
they sent em all back with a flaw.
no one could get them on or off

Wow really, mine is fine a 2010 Amp. I am anything but skinny 6'1" 200lbs. Maybe your right though, a bad batch. Was the step in hole really small, or was the left arm not stretchy enough?

Ok, based on what people have been telling me I'll probably go with the chest zip.

I have a 5/4/3 HF Flow hooded... got it from wetsuitwearhouse.com. Very diffcult to get on, almost IMPOSSIBLE to take off. Have to stretch it to the absolute limit to get my elbows out of it. Not sure if it is this years or last years though.

Yeah I would never buy another back zip suit. Too many bad flushes and zippers sliding down over the course of a session. I can't believe they are still making back zip suits.

the main reason im considering the 4/3 flow in a chest zip is because its moderately priced, i can use it in the spring and fall, and i can undo the zipper to allow some water in on warmer days.

Where are you surfing? If it's New England to Maryland You need a front Zip in my opinion. I hate back zips because of all the crap suits I had growing up. They may be better now but I will never try one again. Even my 3/2 is a chest zip.

My Amp is an awsome suit.If I wear a rash guard underneath it makes it a little easier to take it on and off.
