Hey I was wondering if anyone is familiar with Surf Prescriptions surfboards and could tell me if they are a good brand and if the NDR is a good board by them. Or if you can give me some suggestions on a good Fish and length for someone who is 5'6" and 185lbs.

Doc Lausch shapes them out of California. The logo is like a first aid cross. He's a pretty reputable guy. However, If you're close to the WIlmington Area and you're looking for a fish, Dave Yearwood is very well known for his fish-shapes.

If you're leaning towards a more hybridy fish shape, then Jimmy Keith makes a great Whiskey Fishes, and SOD has some Dumster Diver- esque designs. Those are all local guys close to where I'm at.

I'm out of Jacksonville and there are a few shapers like Miller, Whisnant, and Rhino that I hear are good but not sure which out of those would be the best choice. Do you know about any of them. And I'm about intermediate

A 5'4" Dumpster Diver ought to do the trick.

id stay away from the fish go more towards an egg shape or a wide shortboard.

WRV nugget 5'7'' to 5'11'' will be good for you and wont break the bank

    Dumpster Diver

I would go with SOD dumpster diver, good quality board, fun and perfect for around wilmington, jacksonville and stuff. Also, local shaper Shawn has done it for like 28 years...he knows his stuff so he could customize depending on what you want. He owns Wrightsville Glassing and SOD in Wilmington. Prices on boards are also very fair and def. cheaper than WRV, also you could drive down and see the progress in action. Look up SOD on facebook and get in touch with him....he checks it everyday
