I have gotten good use out of my 4/3, but it's gotten leaky lately. I don't know if I want to go out and buy a 5/4/3 or try to make this 4/3 last through the winter. Are there any tricks to making a suit that has normal wear a bit warmer (thermals etc.)? It's been cold and its only going to get colder so I'm considering doing the 5/4/3, but just don't know if I want to throw down 200 bucks.

hyperflex sells a polyproperlean bodysuit that you can wear under you wetsuit. i have the poly pro socks and when I wear them with 7mil boots my feet are buring up . How old is the suit??? Maybe you are due for a new one anyways

    Reduce Recycle Reuse--wetsuit glue

    Try wetsuit glue.

You can get creative with the repair (stitching, rubber bands, etc.)

    Works great.

Times are tough, save money too.:cool;)

I had a tear on my 5mil on the chest, i sewed it up with some dental floss and plastered oniell glue on the outside. Worked fine, but i ended up buying a new suit. nothing like new rubber.

The poly top is a good idea too

I've used aquaseal on my suit. older oniel 4/3 Zen. one knee area was wearing thin. lay some on spread about an inch around and tape wax paper over it to create a nice flat patch. Dry with a fan blowing on it.
I also wear underarmour under my suit when it gets this cold, top, bottom and polypro socks by Patagonia.. Love Matts idea of the body suit. Creates a nice second layer and I stay very warm. Fun surfing in the snow this Wednesday. Icy clean peelers and snow on the beach. Surrreal!

I've heard, but never used this stuff, but ive heard it can be used like glue to glue seams. It was recommended to be applied to the outer seam to prevent chaffing. If you are doing a lot of seam glueing you would probably get more for your money with this stuff. It is meant to be used as the rubber that is on the handle of pliers and such.

I'm on their site but don't see anything about poly pro socks to wear under the booties. Where can I find them? Thanks.
