anyone have one? ridden one? i wanna get one bad. its always good to hear opinions and stories...i have only heard good things but im more curious as to what type of wave its best for...like would it still work in OH waves or is it more for waist to head?? im thinking it would be a good all around board for new jersey.

when your riding it in overhead surf and when your droping in the board slides down the face. I ride it in anything under head. Its a amazing board i highly recommend it

I have a 5'10 grocket running a quad setup on it right now.
only surfed a few small waves on it but looks like wensdayy will finally get to really see what it can do.

Rockets are great but make sure to get the right size. If you get it too big it defeats the purpose.

theres alway the option of havin a local shaper make you a rocket . Only thing that is differnt is the name on it and money you are saving . You also might get it quicker

I checked out a 5'10 (seemed too small) and 6'1 (seemed to big) today. I'm riding a 6'1 CI Gravy now. I want to see a 6'0 before I make a move. Anyone know dims on 6'0? I'm searching google

I agree with Matt...Wynn is local and you board would def. be a lot cheaper. Here is the custom rocket I had him make me (5'8"x19 1/4"x2 1/4" rails a bit more pinched)...it rips in anything with a bit of push but agree at oh...gets a bit sketchy. A great daily driver for me...

I'm tempted to have a local shaper make a Rocket, but concerned it won't be the same. I figure, it is Mayhem's proven formula and another shaper would just be speculating without having a Rocket on hand to duplicate. Am I not giving the local guys enough credit?Ultimately, I would like to support a local shaper, but just not sure. Wynn is my option in South Jersey, unless there are others I'm not aware of. Who do you use?

I know a guy who got wynn to shape him a Rocket cause he was in a money bind and couldnt afford to have lost shape him one. He talked to Wynn and a month later his board was ready . I asked him can you tell a difference?? He said other than the lable no he couldnt.

You could also get Legend to shape you a board i dont know his schedual but he make the best Epoxy boards in NJ. Also you could get Heritage to shape u a board too

I love my rocket. actually bought it off someone off the forums. Gave me a legit price for a full set up and its prob my go to board for most anything that comes my way but i live in OCMD so usually nuttin more than head high but gots alot of drive and hold and paddles very well. works really well on those mushy days and those hollow head high days but gets a little more sketchy. my dims are 5'10"x19.5x2 1/4. if you order one make sure to order 4-6 inches shorter than your norm shortboard and prob half foot wider. i love mine but depends on waves and rider
