So it looks like we might finally get a little surf this week hopefully the forecast holds...Since i dont have the extra money for a new winter suit im trying to fig out how to stay as warm as possible in my 3/2. im thinking about wearing my spring top underneath in hopes it will keep me a little warmer. Has anyone done/tried this before wondering how it works if at all. Any help or suggestions appreciated.
Yeah, you definitely should wear the 2mm under your 3/2. Not only does this equate to a 5mm which is what you should wear during the winter season, it can make you feel warmer theoretically because you have more layers, more air pockets to keep the warmth inside
My buddies and I did that back in the day (we had first generation mullets). Try your suits on before you head to the water to make sure you can move in them. mobility may suffer, but hopefully your suits are much more flexible than the Aleeda 3-2 and spring suits (with neon colored trim to match my *****en Schroff thruster) I rocked back in the eighties.
if you don't have sealed seams, forget it. you'll freeze. if you DO have sealed seams, I would recommend wearing longjohns under the suit instead of the 2 mil.
ive done it before but with a spring vest not long sleeve.. like lee said its gonna be really uncomfortable with a long sleeve.. i didnt even notice my vest was there. your still only gonna have a hour sesh
after scrotal surgery i had to rock a 2mm farmer john underneath my 5mm, that was freaking terrible, but without it i couldnt get a session in untill june AHHHHHHHHH!
