I used a program made by Sony a few years ago and it was very easy to use and took care of everything. Very user friendly. Was only around 100$, it was called Sony Moviemaker or something like that. Also Elements 9 (Adobe) is for video as well, but I don't know how detailed it is.
Pinnacle Studio is between $50 and $120 depending on which version you buy and is very simple, not the best but good if you're just looking for basic stuff. Or torrents are always a good way to get the best for free.
