You really have no clue what your talking about at . New Jersey's ocean is just as good and any other states on the eastcoast. I wouldnt go out anyplace after thas rain . I have never gotten sick once due to dirty water.

All of south NJ was a great place to live . OC, Sea Isle, Wildwood , CM all use to be small quite towns till the housing boom happened . Now its condo's and Rich pricks from NY and PA coming down here like they own the place and dont get me started on the Frogs from Canada they are the rudest ppl I have ever come across

Surfed with George in the line up several times as a kid. He was always willing to give up some waves to a kid just starting out. Then help you out on what you did right and wrong. Still have the Spectrum I got from him in '89. With potential swell Thurs. as good a time as any to paddle out on it.

Yes Matt Ocean City used to be a great place to live and yes all the money from the big city did change the culture and atmosphere for the worse. However, I must disagree with you about your claim that the ocean is as clean and safe as any other on the East coast. Dude, it doesn't even come close to the Outer Banks. I have spent most of my life in Ocean City and have seen the Ocean quality deteriate over the years. Hatteras water quality and sea life at the present time is far more better than Ocean City was in 1965. I remember finding Eastern Welks on the beaches as a kid on a daily basis. Star fish were daily sightings. Not today my friend. You can thank greed and over abundance of people. Hey all stay up North. ":DHappiness is seeing a yankee heading north"

I had the pleasure of working for George for about 5 years also. He taught me a lot and was a true OC legend.
    Thank you for everything Geo.

I heard a sermon many years ago that has stuck with me and reading this thread reminded me of it again. When you leave this world, true wealth is measured by those lives you have truly touched. It is obvious George touched many of you and proud to read the tribute to him.
