My families planning a tropical trip this spring. We're thinking about either the Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico. Does anyone know how the surf is there in mid-late April or have any experience here, and what would you suggest? Also its a family trip, so there would need to be more than just surf. Thanks in advance for the help

search puerto rico. There has been threads on here lately about that. Plenty of reading. I would recommend PR. US territory so no passports required, no customs etc. good surf, chill environment, I'm hoping to get down there in March myself.

I can't offer any personal experience with how the waves are regularly in PR in April, but I can say I just got back from there and it was the most fun I've ever had. Awesome surf, cool people, cute girls... Didn't have any problems at all

St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John are part of the US Virgin Islands. The British VI require passports, etc. Not so sure about the chill environment in PR. Guess it is all relative.
