Iv been thinking about getting a steath as a daily driver. I have a 5,6 cannibal RNF that iv been using for avridge waves (sub head high) for the past 6 months, But its really starting to show the where and tear and im expecting it to snap any day now. I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experince with the stealth in smaller NJ summer surf. Or if anyone has any other suggestions for good nj daily driver shortboards.

    thanks - chilli

    I highly recommend

I highly recommend a Tommy Morre Shapes "Tweaker" along the same lines as a Dumpster Diver or White Diamond. I love my board in fact it allows me to have a two board quiver for the most part. I have a 5-5 Tommy Moore RNF and a 5-9 Tweaker. Thing works great easy to paddle into to waves do to being wide but the bottom contours keep it drivey and quick directional changes. Works knee high to foot overhead. It would probably run ya $550 shipped to your front door. As everyone will say "go local in NJ" but I keep getting magic boards from Tommy so I go with what I know. Tommy was shaping here on the east coast for WRV for years now out in San Clemente, he did what most of us would love to do, move out west for waves.

Thanks for the info. Ill have to look into those boards. Im really up for just about any shaper so long as they can make a good board consistantly. I dont need much just a NJ daily driver.

21-13's new board "The Nug " looks interesting. Its Rob Kellys Model board and is a good all around board

I just bought a 5'10 Stealth but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

There's a 5'8" Stealth for sale on NJ craigslist down in Linwood, same guy I bought my 5'10 from. I checked out the 5'8 too and it's in great shape and a really good deal, I would check it out if I were you.

I have never ridden the stealth, but I think it is a little more Performance tuned than an evEryday board. Go with the dumpster diver, it's a little more beefy. I got one last spring, and traded in all my other boards for it. U can ride it in anything, I'll ride it in knee high waves, with a 5/4 and all the gear. Plenty of float, but still very high performance. Also great in quality wAves as well. Also try the JS. Blakbox or the sharpeye disco. Very similar, everyone pretty much has a similar model.

Check out the "sub-scorcher" or even "scorcher". the sub scorcher is lost's version of the dumpster diver and the scorcher has a little less volume than then sub scorcher

Yea im gettion that impression as well. iv heard really really good things about the DD, But if i was going to get a board like that id probably get a roberts white dimond, It looks a little better to me.. unless i find a really cheep DD, And the blakBox looks SWEEET I would probably buy one if the oppertunity came up.

Awesome ill take a look thanks,

yea i love the D.D, but if i had looked at the blakbox, before i bought it, i prob would have gotten the blakbox. either one is perfect. and dont be afraid about float, i bought the 5'10, but i know i could ride the 5'8 model.
