That photo is ... Im spoiled though... If it aint balls deep, it aint powder to me. Don't get me wrong, the photo is sick like photo wise, but that snow just ain't doing it for me. Plus you can see little snowballs and ****, meaning that snow is wet and heavy, not that fluff. Basically I'm a snow snob...

For the east coast though, that is pretty sick. My only crit with "east coast powder" is that their is no back country here... So if there is a pow day here, its gonna be tracked out in 2 runs. Plus the mountains are just too small, their aint no cliffs, no pillow lines, nothin sweet. Just my 2 cents anyways, but remember I'm a self proclaimed spoiled snow snob, so don't let me rain on your parade...

I couldn't disagree with this more...I've got the cartel ESTs on a burton supermodel and I love the ability to change my stance effortlessly when I'm done cruising the woods all day and want to hit the park for some end of the day runs. Sometimes I ride an older burton fish for heavy powder conditions.....BTW east coast is getting plenty of freshy fresh this year

So many great trips over the past few years, but Sunday River, Sugarbush and Stowe are my top five.....Best day ever was Tuckerman's Ravine in Spring of 01', been wanting to go back every year since but hasn't happened.....

Any one ever ride Wildcat? Hard not to put that mountain near the top of your list if you've ever been there

Only got 1 day in this year. At bear. Fun, but one day is not enough. Its hard to convince the pregnant wife to drive 3+ hours up an icy as$ mountain and sit in the lounge, unable to drink.

So, maybe next year for me. A couple days ina cabin or something. I do miss living an hour from the moutains... that way a day trip up and back was easy. That drive to bear is horrendous.

And with all the powder talk, I know bear and summit arent the best in the world, but Ski Liberty was just as much fun to me as bear is. The snow is better, but liberty has such easy access. Lots of ice, but su** it, nothing wrong with going mach speed on some ice. Its like big wave surfing. You fu** up, you die!

Burton's channel system is the best mounting system on the market. I've had 2 channel boards so far (custom and hero) and they have never had a problem. The flex is just so great and you can literally change your stance in 30 seconds.

ive had issues last year and this year with my est bindings coming out of place. i changed the screws out with ones with plastic bushings and they held for a little while, but eventually failed like the regular ones. i even put locktite on them and they shifted while riding.

o yea and i also broke a highback while at vail last year. i did send them into be fixed and they gave me 2 new highbacks!

I have a board with EST's, didn't burton try this once before, baseless? Failed!!! EST's aren't that bad.

Here's a suggestion, tighten your binding screws when your board is balls cold, below freezing. Just remember to LOOSEN the screws at the end of the season or they might lock up.

If your board is put together when it's warm the metal is expanded, when it gets cold the metal contracts, that along with the vibration and stress of riding will cause the bolts to loosen. Again, don't forget to loosen the screws it's a ***** to get them out if they lock up.

Oh, only use a number 3 philips (full size, no mini tool stuff) or you'll risk stripping the screw heads out.

Yea... That was my problem. The screws would get stripped from constantly doing a rather poor job of tightening them when I was being rushed, or using the ****ty screw drivers that are on the benches.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion with them. But for me, riding everyday (or close to it), they just didn't cut it. I would have to tighten them at least once a day, lost countless screws, stripped countless screws. Basically they were a pain in my ass. And there is no worse feeling than flying down a run, and realizing that your feet are moving around every which way... The dreaded disco feet...

i love me some snowboarding just as much as surfing. im more of a rider that will just carve all the way down the mountain thinking the mountain is a wave, theres a nice left hand turn at snowshoe in wv and u can just get so much speed and then just lay all the way down into it.
