Anyone been? Thinking of going late Feb/early March and was wondering if it is worth the super long drive for only 1.5 days of riding? Also, looking for accommodation recommendations. Thanks
i live and ride at killington and i would say the skiing is amazing since we keep getting fresh snow every week. hope this helps
Jay Peak is awesome, pretty amazing part of the country too. As above said, they have been getting dumped on this winter. Not many choices on where to stay tho. i think.
i'll be at stowe in a couple weeks and i've found that to be the best riding in vt out of a good # of east coast mtns (haven't been to jay yet).
Never been but from what I have heard from friends is that Jay Peak is the TITS (for the east). Supposedly best pow in the east.
Been to Jay Peak a couple times. It is hands down the best powder I have experienced on the east coast. As long as you can deal with all the French Canadians running around and stinking up the gondola ride to the top you will be set. That said, it is a long drive for only 1.5 days of riding. If you are short on time have you checked out Snowshoe in WV? 11 hrs vs 7.5 hrs
Go to Salt lake City. Check out expedia. All of the hotels offer ski packages to different resorts. The airport is a hub. You'll probably end up spending the same amount of money.
this. plus if you fly in early, park city will give you a free lift ticket if you show them your boarding pass. utah is the way to go for hit-and-run 2-4 day trips; snowbird, brighton and solitude. if one didn't get snow there's a good chance one of the others did.
