So my 5/4 Mutant got all ripped up, so now I only have an O'neill 4/3. I still have my hoodie, 4mm boots and thick gloves. Will I die in a 4/3?

I'll give you about an hour, max, depending on how well you tolerate it

whatever, you are straight. If that suit is even half decent you can surf all day. I wear a 4/3 all winter and my 5mm boots are always the limiting factor.

i used to rock a 4/3 all winter. you will be fine for a couple hours... just drink a lot of water right before you jump in and you'll be just fine.......

I have never owned anything greater than a 4/3 and surfed 20+ winters.

I think you needed one more response, just in case you weren't convinced yet.

Surfed in a "good" 4/3 suit all winter and had no problems. If you do feel cold, throw a rashguard inside for another layer. I was in a 4.3 in the upper 30s.

It's in the mid 40s here now, and had there been no wind I even would've ditched the hood, and retired it for the rest of the year.

I surfed almost 3 hours today in a 43 with 5 mil gloves and boots. I had a hood with attached lycro vest underneath and i was comforatable. The air temp is gradually getting warmer so that helps to.
