this swell so far

yeah i am I was expecting to be choppy and closing out today but when I went to check it I was greeted with chest high clean pealers. Surfed for 4 hours and got out when it started to get a bit mushy and disorganized.

 

Sooooooo gooooood! Hopefully tomorrow is good as well

haha yeah, there were definitely some nice sets coming through. super hollow too
there probably will be something left in the afternoon, just need to find a place that works with a high tide

 

longest barrel of my life was had on saturday. best wave of the winter!!

 

I heard friday was good. Saturday sucked

 

You must not know where to go I guess, where I was at yesterday (Saturday) it was hollow chest to shoulder high with occasional head high sets. Dudes were getting shacked all day one after another.

Today was fun too, inconsistent and a little disorganized but some fun peeling waist to chest sets coming in. So stoked to get out for 2 days in a row this weekend!

 

GO SURF its been awesome for the whole weekend

 

For about an hour yesterday, it all came together, and almost every wave was a makeable barrel. Couldn't believe my dumb luck, just as I was thinking about getting out, I found a peak that had a short left shack and a long right tube....getting two or three barrels in a row at times. Just dumb luck that I drifted over onto this sandbar. Better to be lucky than good sometimes, right?

Today took some searching and waiting, but finally found a spot that had these perfect little peelers... chest high hollow coverups wave after wave. There was a guy shooting pics... maybe he'll post 'em up.

 

Today was another good day aswell . Shoulder high and glassy about 5 guys out and it was fun for about 2 hours windshifted and washed it out

 

Wahington dc Maryland and NY tags at my spot thanks guys talk this up some more and maybe we will start to get some international travelers to clog up the good peaks a little more. Yea there was alittle bump in the water but come on..Cant you guys just exchanged phone numbers and talk within urselves instead of broadcasting to the entire tristate and beyond. just saying..... Also no way was this the best swell of the year sat morning first light I said damn this was over hyped and I was right unfort damage was done and the only "good" spots had way too many people clogging and kooking all over the place even saw two SUPS what a circus and its only March ! Would you guys tell me where you score such great waves so I can tell the caravan of LI enders to go there instead of my spots..
You all want Jersey to get respect for having good surf.. Why?? I liked it better when people would say there is no surf in NJ...internet is going to destroy our beaches..damage is already done and if anyone has been surfing for more than 10 yrs I am sure you see the diff...

Swells don't last very long here in VB. Friday was the best day, but my session was after work and during high tide, wish I could've gotten it when it was better. Saturday was ok. Today you can almost call it flat, but still went. Beautiful weather all three days though, and it's still kinda bright outside as I type this. The hood was off, and I plan to keep it that way until next winter.

 

Friday was head with some oh saturday was stomach to shoulder Sunday was waist with occasional chest sets rolling in and glassy in the morning. I feel like a new man haha.

 

I couldn't surf saturday due to wisdom teeth, but had to surf today, and i'm glad i did. had about a 4 hour session today. Was waist to chest, and super fun. Man, i really needed that.
