where is there access to the ocean on the eastern shore? anybody know of any good spots out there recently? looks like friday could be fun up there as of now any ways.
dont take the fun out of it... get a road map, pack your lunch, bring your bug spray, and find your own spot! you dont necessarily have to surf the 2 national parks... its a huge piece of beach. Enjoy. I say the same thing about eastern shore as I do OBX, if you surf in a crowd out there, thats on YOU.
Ive been surfing the easternshore since i was a teen. The barrier islands have tons of spots but you need a boat to access them unless you go to asssateague. My only advice is to watch out for mudflats and follow channels properly or you will end up aground. Ive surfed hurricane swells up and down the barriers with just a couple of friends and nobody else around for years but access to some of the spots isnt as easy as others. check out raven lundys wildva for some pretty cool shore footage
Please I really wish people would quit asking where to surf. And then others broadcasting good breaks on the internet. If you don't know where to go - take a ride and do your homework. Remember - for the most part - maybe not all - those who are asking are the ones who are going to show up with the 10' Costco boards aggravating the hell out of you.
I agree with this completely... sh*t, if someone wants to surf, they can find a good spot with some time, effort, dedication (and maybe a little luck )... There are plenty of fun places over there (that's where my parents live, and I spend most of my time over the summer), but yes, lets not start throwing out gps coordinates!
Maybe try like some of the back bays heard they have super gnarly sandbars where you can get totally tubular and catch the curl... if your lucky might get some hott babes as well surfs up bro

GET A F'ING LIFE DUDES!! grow up! idc if u give me spots to surf there or not im not just gunna waste my day trying to find ocean access! ive heard its all either by boat or hiking miles! I mean like lee said its like the obx search and u will find a bar its the east coast but there isnt a road that runs along the beach like obx does!?! right or wrong? wtf is the point of a forum if u cant ask questions?!?! i appreciate the guys info at the beginning of this post and for the losers that hate you must hate on life and everybody in it! grow up and enjoy the stoke!
