it depends on a few variables, suit quality, and how fat you are. i tried the 3/2 last sunday and it was cold, ended up putting the 4/3 back on. if your built like a stick i would stay in the 4/3, unless all you have is a 3/2 give it shot.

i'm a big guy myself, and still in my 4/3. actually i just started using the 4/3 this week. or maybe i did have it on last week i can't remember. been out of the hood most of the month. i'm hoping to be in the 3/2 in the next 2 weeks. 4/3 is probably my least used though. i use it from about 45 to 50/55 degrees water temperature, and depending on air temperature too. the time it cools down from 50 to 45, and goes from 45 to 50 is usually fairly quick. i was in my 3/2 early april last year. we had a really hot spring. it was like straight to summer last year. there was no spring. i swear the water is the same temperature now as it was the last week of march of last year.gloves might come off at 55. boots not until 60. my muscles in my toes don't take cold water well.

Board shorts rock and I am waiting for the day. I don't wear anything heavier than a 3/2 if I can avoid it either. Anything colder take a trip to central America is my motto. The price for a new wetsuit is usually the same as the airfare ticket.

Labrador and Gulf are still fighting each other at the cape. Summer will shortly follow I hope after these crazy storms. Water temps have been inconsistent, curious summer... ?

I shead off my gloves, and boots day before yesterday, and at first I got the aches, but a couple minutes after the blood got to flowing I was fine! Love this time of year, I make it a point to be out of a suit by Mother's Day!

...if you wear extra neoprene, then aren't you stiffer anyway?

I went out Monday after work and realized I left my booties at home. I thought, I can burn the half hour to I go back and get them and come back or I can just man up and run right in. I lasted 45 minutes, which was perfect, the winds shifted and picked up and blew everything out.
