!!***urgent gloves question***!!

    Hello,
    I am Guisseppe Slonskin. I heard the waves are going to be spectacular with a knee high/choppy surf this weekend. I am getting utterly excited. Should I wear gloves this weekend? Mine are 5/2 mm. This purchase was recently made for the cold nippy winter months that I was still in the icy water trying to grab at least some mediocre rides here and there. Just HOW good do you guys think the waves are going to be? I hope to see you, my fellow riders, in the water along side of me this weekend!

    i know this a joke thread but the gloves are off in VB / OBX! I surfed all day in my short sleeve full suit and boots yesterday

    nah i really took em off. It really wasn't that bad once the blood started pumpin. when I first went in I was thinking "uh oh this was a mistake" but itwas alrite. Was out for like an hour or so.

    then you are one tough m-f'er...i'm not at all interested in losing the gloves until the water hits about 55 or so...i'm starting to consider down-grading the thickness of both booties & gloves, to 3mils & 1.5mils respectively, but that'll largely depend on the weather when i surf next.

    Wow, I am soo glad I read this thread. I was in between wearing my banana hammock or cool new Hollister "boardies" but now with the help of you guys I will wear the longer boardies and be bringing my winter gloves and black socks.
    Now all I have to decide is what board - Bic popout or Costco foamie....
