anyone ever herad of or ride any superbrand boards? i was looking at the clay marzo model. might get it in the summer.. thoughts?
That prolly will be my next board too.. love them. New company but sure has been looking good under clay and ry's feet
Super is a great brand and i have had the pleasure of meeting with their U.S. lead shaper jason. They also have Lynn Shell under contract for them and he shapes the new Quadraphillia model. His step son Jesse Hines is working on marketing for the east coast and rides many of their shapes. From talking with them the clay amrzo, dion agius, and ry craike models are really on good wave board/hurricane boards and probably wouldnt do well here on the east coast for the typical surf we have, unless you are Clay or Ry. They do however have The Vapor and The Toy which are two performance shortboards that are designed for smaller waves and would fair better in our waves. This is just my two sense from meeting with all these guys from the company and the different boards that they are trying to push for the east coast.
thanks! def sounds right that clays board wouldnt bee to good for these waves. i was thinking that just wasnt sure.
I have the Ry Craike pro model. Surf it in OC, it works great. Not a board for small days but awesome for chest+
Im thinking that this board might be nice in the summer. http://superbranded.com/surf/product/team-models/the-slug
