I concur. Even though the tide, wind, and swell was wrong - I went out solo tonight in N Monmouth,NJ in a 3/2 flat-lock, 3mm boots and no gloves. Hands were a bit red when I got out, but not an issue. Was toasty for 2+ hours, even after being flushed numerous times in the crappy, shore break, close out waves. My patience paid off as I got a few stomach-chest high rollers, which made everything all f'ing right - at least in my mind...
its been the case for 3 weeks, but i took the gloves off this week. bit of a sting, but got used to it.
been wearing a 3/2 with boots all week. took the boots off today here in south jersey. i wasn't cold at all. stoked
