how do you not pee when your in the ocean?

 

I always take a leak before I pull the suit on, trying to minimize the situation. But let's face it... if you're in the water for a few hours, chances are, you're gonna have to pee. I go for it. I try to pee after I walk up the beach, and I'm standing in the water timing my paddle out. I figure all the water from the top of the suit is draining out the bottom, and gravity is gonna pull the pee down and out with all that water. I see guys in the lineup getting off their boards and floating in the water peeing, and I think that the warm, less dense pee is gonna actually work it's way UP the suit, compared to the cold, dense water around the suit.

So... if you wanna soak in your own waste for as long as possible (hey... maybe you're freezing cold and trying to extend your session) dismount and pee all over yourself. But if you just want to piss and get on with the show, pee standing on the beach.

 

Psh of course i do, any surfer or sponger who surfs year round and has worn a suit for a cold session is not only silly for not draining the lizard mid-surf but missing out on an awesome source of warmth. why not? the stuff is sterile as they say.

 

I praise pissing in my wettie.. warms me up and just feels like sex!

 

When its in the dead of winter and really cold, I usually chug a bunch of water right before I go out, not only to keep me hydrated but increases the amount of times I get a warm sensation in my suit.

 

I always try to go before I paddle out for a session, but I usually end up going sometime mid session too. When youre out there for 2-3 hours sometimes you just gotta go...

If it's really good and you don't want the session to end.....
If you were born with a small bladder......
even if Mr. Shark shows himself for a quick second.......
maybe even seeing those Hawaiian sets for the first time...

 

i peed in my wetsuit 3 times today.

 

if peeing in your wetsuit is cool consider me miles davis.

 

75% of people pee in their wetsuit and the other 25% lie about it!

I mean you can always flush your suit if you wish, or most likely the first time you wipe out with some force you will get a bit in there to help with the flushing.

 

I apologize for wandering off the specific topic of westsuit pissing, I have never worn my westsuit in Hawaii....my bad....there's a huge difference between pissing your wetsuit and pissing yourself....

 

Your not cool unlesssss you pee your "wetsuit". Everybody my age does it.

 

I love being in my wetsuits.

 

I do number 1 all the time but save the number 2 for special occasions. It helps to have some baby wipes in the truck for the after session cleanup. Sorry I had to say it .

 

The warm sensation of the urination! I would advise against dumping in your suit though!

 

hahah yes. i do what someone else in this thread said: drink lots of water not only to hydrate for long sessions, but to promote warm flushings during cold ass winters

 

a bunch of my non-surfer friends asked me about this topic once, and i replied with this exact answer. I was met with some awesome responses... it was pretty hilarious.
