ITs funny to read these post to see the difference in music taste. I tend to find that in life the people i gravitate towards have similar taste in music .... maybe its just me but.... I cant pick just one, but here are a few that are always getting played on my iPod at the moment . For those of you that think Rock and Roll is dead check this playlist out below, ROck and Roll is alive and well if you know wehre to look and dont get caught up in "lables" its not alternative or indie just because itunes says it is SONG(s) - Album - Artist every song on the album - '59 Sound - Gaslight Anthem (band out of Jersey) Blacktumbnail - Because of the times- - Kings of Leon (check out their older albums too) louder Than Ever - Mine is yours - Cold War Kids I want you so hard - Death by Sexy - Eagles of Death Metal (this band isn't a death metal band) Mistaken for Strangers - Boxer - The National Guns of Memorial Park - Porcelain - Sparta Wolf Like Me - Return to COokie Mountain - TV on the Radio Quiet little voices - These four Walls - We were promised Jetpacks I am for real - In the dark - The Whigs New Fang - Them Crooked Vultures - *Them Crooked Vultures Black Door - Magic Potion - The Black Keys (bad @ss two peice rock band) see bleow Nevermind what ya hear on the radio form the Keys check out their older albums "Attack and Release, Magic Potion, Thickfreakness, among other even older albums, sick @ass Rock and roll makes ya want swig on a 1/5th of Jack Daniels driving down dusty old dirt roads ina black primer Nova smoking Marlboro reds *For those old school Zepplin fans "Them Crooked Vultures" consist of- John Paul Jones from zepplin on bass Dave Grohl from Nirvana/foo fighters on drums Josh Homme form Queens of the Stoneage on guitar
Yuck's, "Georgia" Before that it was Black Tambourine's, "Throw Aggie Off The Bridge"... very similar sound.
Gimme Sympathy -- By Metric IF you haven't heard metric, you HAVE to check them out. They are absolutely huge in Canada and Europe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqldwoDXHKg
So I take it you also like Dinosaur Jr, Sonic youth, etc.... Yuck toatlly makes me think Jay Masics and the chick from Sonic Youth had a baby and its named it "Yuck"
I havent been able to get into Metric, its ok but just havent been able to really get into it. I do like in the "newer new wave" genre i Like to callit, Two Door Cinema Club's "I can Talk" , The Joy Formidable's " Wirring ", The Naked and Famous' "YOund Blood" and "Punching in a dream"
\r\n\r\n+1 on Tool. Everything they release from Opiate to 10,000 Days is amazing. Opiate, Jerkoff, Undertow, Sober, PrisonSex, Stinkfist, Grudge, Lateralus, Pot, Vicarious. The list can go on forever and the videos are sick too. I have preference to the song Aenema even though it\'s played heavily. I think Bill Hicks was an amazing comedian and I love how they created this song around his dark comedy. I also loved when Maynard would dress up like a priest and sing Opiate in concerts.\r\n \r\nCheck out some of the Tool Videos. Stinkfist and PrisonSex are insane.\r\n
probably "Why? What? Where?" Rusko troublemaker edit . It makes me want to get to California. Nine Inch Nails' "Physical" cover is what I use to psych up though.
hahaha...good luck my friend... and spell check won't help with h-o-m-o-nym errors like 'their,' 'there' and 'they're'...fight the good fight nonetheless.
the world is changing and so is the English language plus its the internet you can say what you want , who has time for proper grammar. dont stop the party we be getting gnarly
whenever i go lifting and try to get pumped up i do this: turn on parabol for the rest. and as it builds into parabola i start getting super amped and then juice the set haha.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F-CpE73o2M When I Grow Up by Fever Ray. Thats a really cool song, i recommend checking it. I also love every song off of The XX's self titled album, most notably the song VCR... that is the greatest album i have ever come across in my entire life.
