This thread is hilarious. I love how people link drug usage to spirituality based solely upon the fact that certain cultures and societies, past and present, use drugs to reach a new plane, realm, mindset, ect. Just because these societies and cultures justify their drug use practices, does not necessarily mean that they are the correct practices that everyone should follow, or that everyone should legitimize drug use. Thats just ignorant. I'm not saying that drug use for religious and spiritual reasons is wrong, what I am saying though is that if your using these methods as an excuse or reason to use drugs, and do not truly participate in these religious or spiritual practices, then you're just an ***hole for linking your drug usage to that of a religious ceremony. But then again, I suppose anyone can argue that any sort of practice in a sense can be spiritual or religious (if they argue and whine enough about it).

I enjoy smoking pot. Its relaxing, its a social experience, and, most of all, its fun as hell. Me personally, I would never claim it to be a "spiritual experience", I take it for what its worth - drugs; drug use, and nothing more. I'm not more in touch with "god" or nature, I'm just on a drug if I smoke pot or even drink a couple beers. Nothing more, nothing less. Thats how I view it.

If this kid wants to smoke his brains out, fine. If we want to ridicule him on a forum because of his original post, thats also fine. But if he wants to use "spirituality" as an excuse for being a pothead, well then he deserves all this heat.

 

Ha.. u make me laugh, i was boosting airs and getting deep pits that that session... and you obviously know nothing about drugs if u think thats anything like dropping acid. All of you are just pissed cause im a 20 year old shredder that gets to shred powder lines all winter in steamboat and surf all spring summer and fall. And now that im home for summer i really got nothing better to do but surf and get ****ed up when im not working at surf camp. So long story short Avery i would shred u after taking mad bings and dropping a tab in any size surf.

 

So true... I smoke all the time, but i still get my **** done. Im in college i get good grades, and i probably have way more fun that all of you who surf and dont smoke. U cant tell me there is anything wrong with that, do your self a favor and live a little. I smoke and it motivates me to surf, its what i want to do when im high. It hasent effected my motivation at all, it works great for me, and when i dont smoke im to hyper anyways, im a ****ing spaz
