I know this is the time of year when people look to get rid of some boards. I'm looking for an XTR board within the 5'6- 6'0 range. Price is neg. Let me know what you or a friend has and we can discuss pricing.

I mean Both. XTR can be of any brand but only one person Javier, makes the foam. These boards are sick but only a few thousand are made a year so they are hard to find. Just trying to avoid ordering and waiting for a custom.

well he isn't the only person who makes the foam. I know Dow and Owens Corning both make it for insulation purposes...leads me to believe you could get it elsewhere. Maybe you could make one. Or have one made if you could find a "blank". Let us know what you find out. XPS does not take on water so you could ding the board all you want.

Thanks for the advice but the real issue with XTR boards it not where you get the foam but more how its glassed. XTR's are prone to delam if they aren't done correctly or encounter heat. I was just seeing if anybody locally wanted to get rid of one if they had it. I know a lot of people don't like them for that reason but I on the other hand love the board due to its strength and lightness. The offer is open so we can price it based on the quality.

As long as you don't expose the board to extreme heat and glass it heavy enough to avoid foam compression, the tendency to delam is negligible. How much does XTR sell these boards for? I might be interested as well.

    Xtr

XTR boards have pin holes across the deck & along the rails to allow the board to release gas when they heat to prevent delamination. I picked up a 6 6 Joe Blair quad four years ago. Scouped nose into a single to double concave. Frickin board goes "OFF"!!! Still in perfect condition. Won't sell it. Do your homework, pony up the scub, & order one. If you see me up in AC riding it, ask me, I'll let you try it!!!

I'd love to buy it. It's up to you whether or not you value a signature of no value. :p
