I thought of this thread today and spent time post surf cleaning up the parking lot at Frisco pier. 10 minutes filled up a ten gallon Rubbermaid bin and then some. NPS needs to bring pack the dumpster cuz these outatowners are to lazy to pack their trash and carry it with them!!!!!!!!!! PS before I get accused of making generalizations there were no NC plates in the Parking lot
I was surpised aswell when they did . It was the first time in a long time that I had witnessed that.
yesterday i sat scowling at this big group bennys, thinking of how they would probably leave all their **** in the sand when they left. then at the end of the day, i saw something incredible happen. they pulled out this huge industrial garbage bag, and started filling it with their trash, even some of the trash the family next to them left! it was a beautiful sight to see someone picking up their own trash. now if everyone would do that.
I been looking at there boards lately I am digging the moon tail as a future buy But back on topic it dont matter where u are from it all boils down to how you were brought up to act in public . If you brought up to be respectful to the people and suroundings near you would be considerate to them and leave there home as you found it. Most people forget that when you travel to a diffent state or counrty you are a ambastor of where u are from . Meaning if u are from PA and come to Wildwood and leave the beach like a slob most narrow minded people with group everyone from Pa in to one bounch ( just using Pa as an example)
I rent camping trailers for a living. Sometimes I will decide which camper a customer gets based on how they look and act. So If I have a camper with a little more wear and showing some signs of age I will give it to a guy riding a motorcycle. A middle class lady and her 2 kids will get a newer unit, thngs like that. Problem is this kind of profiling rarely works. It has happened more times than I care to admit that the middle class mom and her 2 sweet kids leave the camper a wreck and the biker leaves it spotless. Not sure why it is but lots of rich people who rent from me are real slobs and a jolly fat guy and his wife are neat freaks. You never can tell.
Never heard of a Benny- I like that. We called anyone from Orlando, "Kooks" back in the 70's at Cocoa Beach. I'll call people out when I see them dump their trash. It amazes me that people still litter in this day- How hard is to pick up your own trash? I would like to see insane penalties for anyone that does it- about a grand each for a bottle or McDonalds wrapper & 500 for every cigarette butt should do it- give the money to a local organization that would use it correctly. Nice Rant by the way- Ditto.
