I just moved up to Va beach last august from wilmy. It's pretty much the same waves wise, when a nor'easter comes through it can get pretty big....
The inside of masonboro inlet has a pretty nice break, never crowded either/

I'm thinking about camping there too, I'm trying to get down there before it gets too far into summer and the mosquitoes get in there.
