about the quad for the east side-that all depends on how the shaper sets up the fins on a quad...... i had a quad that rode the barrel better...
the biscuit is really thick......the pod is more performance due to the rocker and foil and would be very similar to the RNF.... get a five fin...

there is a happy medium between a tuff lite and a traditional pu/pe board.... go with custom eps/epoxy.......stronger and lighter than poly but...
your merrick is pu/pe construction i take it.....firewire is a eps /epoxy construction......totally different ride..... talk to a local shaper...
