yeah, it's great provided the storms pass within our swell window. past few years have been alright in jerz but nothing spectacular.
they have been saying this every spring since katrina. but since then its been fairly quiet.......... i say it could go either way
What happened to that prediction about a hurricane that is supposed to hit or come close to NJ/NY within the next 10 years? (Now like 7) Anyone else hear about that?
Weatherman can't predict the weather tommorrow........I wouldn't put much salt in their predictions for storms several months away
charlie of oc is spot on as usual. dont get too excited. we could have 100 named storms, but if they dont get out of the gulf, or the caribbean, or the angle doesnt get around the 'banks, then it dont mean nada. and then we have to hope its not just one big closeout from chincoteague to the cape. sorry, not being negative, just realistic... that being said, lets hope for numerous tropical and sub-tropical storms to sit and spin a couple hundred miles off rodanthe all summer and fall with light to moderate WNW winds, warm water, new sandbars that can hold ground swell up and down the coast, and no crowds (that should balance out my negativity)...
