This morning's long term run has Happy Hampton Beach seeing 10-12' at 10 sec. YA RIGHT BUDDY! Where does one surf when it's that big in NH? Or anywheres between Glouster and Portland? Who will surf when it's that big? What will you ride? Where will the pros show up?
lotz of people will surf and no pros will show up. and NH sucks anyways its all about maine or rhodeisland. The spots with the favorable wind protection usually hold up so not happy happy hampton with a NNW
NH does suck. Stay away. Localism is horrible. No surf wax available. Cops ticket out-of-staters. All waves close out always. Go to Belmar, NJ.
Deal, NJ is actually a little better than Belmar. RI sucks too. As a matter of fact, surfing sucks. Don't try it.
and 10-12 is pretty big for the eastcoast but nothing to sh!t you britches about. Its not like youll need a gun or anything, and while 10 seconds is a big period for the EC its still considered small-mid period not long period. well see how it shapes up.
BTW, SI is forecasting 16ft 12 seconds for NH on Sunday morning. Of course, it will probably come with -20*F and 40MPH winds......
Barry is correct. The only place on the east coast of the USA that can handle a 12ft swell at 10sec is BELMAR, NJ book your plane tickets now... Even PR will be closed out and blown out.
Almost every time I look at swelinfo for the happy hampton surf forecast, it's always big and green for the end of the forecast chart. And by the time it gets to the predicted big/green days, it's never what it's predicted to be. is that a deliberate ploy to get us coming back? hype it up then skunk it out
BarryCudda, What kind of wax do you even use when it's -20F and 40 mph wind? Is there a polar vortex blend made locally anywhere? ;0
Welcome to swellinfo.com ever since Miciah went and sold us out, we now experience all kinds of new joys... like all the fake threads that get started by some 12 year old sitting in their parents basements... oh wait that's like half the swellinfo crew. ops...sorry... anyways.... yea.... #abandonne
I know, right now this system is off the Pacific Coast, so early days yet. The forecast will likely change 10 times between now and this weekend, but on the bright side as someone mentioned, the models are in alignment, so we'll likely get something, and maybe something really good. We have not had a big swell event yet this year, so that would be fun.
My preference is Spermaceti wax. Just stay away from the wax they sell on the corner by they chicken and pizza joint.
12:00pm update, swell is now 6-8' and red! Agreed on the ever changing swell forecast. hopefully by friday we'll see something consistent lined up for sunday. cannot skip work on monday, so weekend surfing is about all i can get this time of year
