I live in ny and im trying to figure out if its worth it to drive to jersey tm or just stay here and hope winds go nw...any suggestions?

Why does swellinfo say SW winds for Thursday in Long Beach, NY but the weather channel has N winds shifting to NW? If its SW winds it will probably suck but if its N it might be worth checking out. Can anyone clear this up?

i was at a beach in NY and the wind was intense offshore but it was still choppy because it was so strong
Just lik the forecast said it would be in Jerz... Offshore and Thumping... It actually went offshore a little earlier than expected. I didn't think I'd score til after work... Got it big and heavy in the AM and fun little barrels after work! Doesn't get better than that!
