Has anyone ever used 2 wetsuits? In other words, throwing an old 4/3 on top of another 4/3? I was thinking of getting a new 4/3 for this summer. Yes I wear a a 4/3 in summer. I get cold easy. Then throwing my old 4/3(which isn't too tight) on top of the new 4/3 for the late fall/early winter? I'm wondering if this would be comfortable? Also, I'm a bodyboarder if that matters.

I once wore 2 3/2's. Very warm, not very comfortable. I would suggest investing in a 5/4/3 if you are committed enough, that will be good all winter. But 8mm of neoprene for east coast fall is ridiculous.

    chill baby chill.....

hahha.....hey man, only people who get cold easily understand...and i understand...if you are cold you think about cold, not surf....and as a sponger you are immersed all the time so the heat drain is consistent through the set. try this.. i have a 4/3 long and a 3/2 shorty (water here is rarely above 68 and never above 75) and as an extra i have a couple 2mm "shirts" that i got cheap through ebay. i also have a heavy duty rash guard that is quite thick..probably at least a mil, and that helps without appreciable any bulk. either is a nice addition, but it comes off easy after i've been in. and the next time yer out in yer rubber in summer and someone asks you "are you cold?" you can say "no...it's why i wear the wetsuit."
btw, headgear keeps a lot more heat in than you'd think..it doesn't have to be thick...especially if you still have your hair.

doubling up isn't what you want. When I first started surfing, I remember, putting a 3/2 over my spring suit and it worked for warmth, but super uncomfortable. I dont think a 4/3 over a 4/3 would be possible... better off getting a thicker suit, although, you wont need that until winter rolls around again.

It's kinda like wearing 2 condoms on at the same time. It dosen't work that well!
