not to derail this thread of prison and dope talk, but I have a question for u kids on here. do u make money shoveling snow in your neighborhood?times have changed,i had some kids come up to me asking to shovel my car out,i said sure, and 2 minutes later a cop pulled up and said no soliciting and told them to scram. we used to make money when I was a kid.we'd shovel snow, rake leaves in the fall, and mow grass in the summer.do any kids still do that?my house can use some work lol.its like if u don't have a liscensed business, your no different than a pan handler in the eyes of the law
The police are insuring their own jobs, nothing more. Why would you want a kid to have good work ethics?? That insures the failure of the Welfare State. Police are in charge of enforcing that State. Job security for them.
Yo cep a few storms back I just got back from a hike and was aboot to start shoveling, and some neighbourhood kids rolled up and asked for the job. I was so psyched to see kids doing this(haven't seen much of that as of late), so I hooked them up.
This winter in MA just about everyone has been peddling their shoveling skills and with lucrative results. Man, when all this snow melts the next couple weeks there's gonna be a lot of corpses and very few living things. I heard birds this morning, but that may have been a recording played by an optimistic neighbor trying to rise above the struggle. Outta here again in the AM thankfully.
Seldom that is awesome that you had some kids willing to do that and you supported them. So many kids now have 0 work ethic. I see it everytime we get a new hire fresh out of college. 1st thing they want to know is how many days a year we get off, what is our corp discount with Verizon or AT&T and if we can wear business casual on Fridays. They feel they are owed these things becasue they went to college like they were told, made a resume and got a job and now they think they just need to sit back and life will be like it is in a movie. We had one who at the end of the first week asked how he could get a corp credit card and what his expense account limit was! After I finished laughing I told him corp cards and expense accounts are reserved for VP's and Officers and you must be here for at min 5 years for that. You should have seen the hurt puppy dog look on his face. Damn kids are just lucky to have a job after the mess we have had the last 8 years.
Since god loves people in the south more, we have little to no snow and no point for that thing you mentioned. Snow shovel???
It was very refreshing to see them on the hustle carter...and for me, just returning from trudging through thigh deep snow in the woods, the timing was perfect.
Nas bro. It's more of a preservation of His creation. It's no secret you cats would not know the intended purpose of said instrument and proceed to beat each other to a slow death over fried food and cousin disputes. Viva la south
Kids in my hood have accounts. 1 kid shovels a bunch of homes on my block every storm. Doesn't have to knock and ask if you want it done he just has a handshake agreement. Mostly with the elderly, but a few folks my age too. I realized today that I actually have a quiver of snow shovels.
My daughter is 17 and she mentioned that her freinds had a hard time shoveling snow these days. We used to make bank when I was a kid.
That's great! Had a kid in the hood a few years back that asked to mow my yard which takes me 20 minutes with weedeater and all. He had a gas mower but nothing else, including gas money, so I helped him out and he actually offered to pay me back. I let him borrow stuff as long as he brought it back in a day or two.So one time he borrows my weedeater and doesn't bring it back. I'm riding through the hood two or three weeks later and I see him working on an old lady's yard so I call him over and ask if he intends on bringing it back kinda razzing him a little. He says yes and sure enough that night he puts it on the porch and hauls a**. He had broken the weed guard part off which was no big deal. Funny part was I was gonna give it to him but I guess he was scared I'd be pissed and I never saw him again.
