Yeah I think everyone got a bit confused about the "Hope and Change" that Osama promised. People thought he was going to change things back to the way the founding fathers had it. We didn't realize he wanted to take us faster and further in the direction we were headed.

Perfect example. I used to drive a drunk bus through Belmar for Wally's transportation (miss the $400-$500/night) I got this girl in the van who wasn't smashed but I could tell she had a few. So she starts talking politics and this is what she said:

    Back in '08

Her: "I can't believe this guy is actually going to win the election."
Me: "Yeah it's really looking like it."
Her: "Yeah but I don't understand why so many people are voting for him? Aren't people mad at him?"
Me: "Uh yeah, they should be, he's the only one who supported third term abortion."
Her: "Forget that! He bombed the twin towers!"
    Me: no comment.

This girl was so far removed from the politics in our country that she thought Usama Bin Laden was running for president and winning. Yes, this really happened.

I certainly realized. It only took one look at his record. He's a committed liberal. Union thug...community organizer. It was very obvious what he had planned. The problem is that the "media" didn't do their due diligence on this guy. The media was in the tank for him from the get go...the obama mania/hysteria took over rational/logical observations. His record as a senator is public information...he did not vote....rather he mostly abstained from taking a position. When he did vote he had THE MOST liberal record among all senators. Hillary Clinton was the 9th most liberal if i remember correctly...Obama was #1. HELLO? Is anybody home...where is the media? Too busy tooling on Palin...the VP candidate. WTF?????? Meanwhile Obama the snake oil salesman is pulling the wool over too many people's eyes. The gig is up....finally America is seeing what this guy is all about.

wally, the story about the clueless girl totally encapsulates my point. It's people like her that actually vote. Although it didn't sound like she was gonna, there are many Americans of similar awareness and intellect that voted for Obama just cuz....

Rip Turbo...yes we are all losing it.....c'mon waves!!!

Yo dawg, the reason he got voted in is because nobody wanted that retard Palin as vice-president, and they were worried McCain was going to kick the bucket. I'd rather have Obama do nothing for four years, than have that airhead have any authority, and if you don't, then your nuckin futz!

    Agree-
When McCain made a huge deal out of stopping his campaign to go back to DC and work on the Wall St. bailout, chastised Obama for not doing the same, went on late night TV to brag about what a selfless Senator he was (for doing the job he was elected to do for a few hours instead of campaigning), then nominated Sarah Palin as VP, someone he quite obviously despised but picked because of her demographics, he lost my respect big time, and blew it. Thanks for 8 years of Barack, Mr Maverick!

i do agree picking Palin for VP was a bad move...but....
Newsflash!!!!.....McCain is still alive. So those that panicked and voted for "history" because they thought he'd die and Palin would have her finger on the button miscalculated. That's all fine and dandy...let's just not eff it up this time!!

    knock on wood!

Please provide concrete proof that Palin is retarded? Also, you assume Obama did nothing. In fact many of his policies and those of the democratic congress have made things much worse.

OK, you asked for it, "Me and Todd can see Russia from our porch"...do you need more?!..."yeah, Paul Revere was clanging bells and putting shots in the air, he was warnin' the British that they weren't gonna take our arms"...dude she's a money-grubbing retard and a failure to her own state...she knows it, that's why she and her daughter collected on their 15 minutes. Are you oblivious to the fact that Obama has done almost nothing different, besides have the balls to actually do something about healthcare, which I admit was the wrong thing, but at least he took action...Bush played golf and vacationed up until he had to step up and pretend to be a president when our towers got knocked down and in the remaining years of office used his office to put the citizens of this country in fear and take away our constitutional rights. Obama is not much different than your boy, mr. even more unqualified for the job Bush, there's only two differences...he's black and a democrat. Keep s*cking Hannity and Glenn Beck's d*ck...90% of what they feed you Republicans on Fox News is a big flaming pile of doo doo. How's that Kool-Aid taste? like ****?

obama thought there were 57 states.

Some of the "gotcha game" stuff is lame. Politicians always say dumb gaffs. It's a function of the crazy media cycle and over exposure. Some get blown way over board by whatever sort of preconceptions are already out there based a persons accent, look, gender, etc. With Palin the media scrutiny has been insane. Some warranted...most malicious. There's something about her dems hate. I lean republican and i don't even like her, but i don't fu(king hate her like some...

I must say though, I would take her over Obama any day of the week. Obama trying to throw a freaking baseball?? Have you seen it? Google it if not. Something so simple can be so revealing. Obama is socialist, college professor turned community activist...turned smooth talker/reader. I had many a "smart, intellectual" college professor that were total bone head idealogues . This whole Obama is an intellectual stuff is so over blown.

first , id like to say it makes me proud to see my fellow americans so passionate abbout it all. good on ya boys. its good to be free and able to have a voice. both sides of the media are full of so much **** its hard to see thru it so choose wisely. which brings me to an earlier comment by koki about gbush out golfing instead of presidenting....obama has 72 golf outings since taking over,it just aint being reported on the front pages.by no means am i sticking up for bush or disputing anyones credibility on this topic cuz i may not be as educated on it as yall but i been around long enough to smell the bs. god bless the u s.

Just curious...do I have to like Bush, be a republican, watch Fox & perform oral sex on Hannity if I believe Obama is driving the country towards an unparalleled catastophy? Granted...I don't have any references from Bill Maher, The View or the Daily Show, but here are a few quotes from Obama, himself, during his campaign:

“Now, what I’ve done throughout this campaign is to propose a net spending cut.” He has repeatedly stated that he will veto the net spending cut if it passes through congress.

“I want to go line by line through every item in the Federal budget and eliminate programs that don’t work, and make sure that those that do work work better and cheaper.” Still waiting...

“If we see money being misspent, we’re going to put a stop to it, and we will call it out and we will publicize it.“ After a $1T stimulus, the unemployment is still climbing, but Microsoft has a new $11m bridge, Montana's state-run liquor warehouse got over $2m in skylights & a few hundred more ridiculous projects...all paid with tax-payer stimulus cash.

“If your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime.” Stand by.

Here's another fact: Bush, McCain & Palin are history. Hearing Obama worshippers bring up how much they suck (3 years later) is not only irrelevant, but a sign of how little Obama has achieved. Six months behind the desk, whatever happens is the previous president's policies that caused it. One year, maybe some of it. Three years of a steady nose dive while a single party holds the House, Senate & Presidency? Only a fool or a BS artist would attempt to blame it on anyone else.

    It's all his show, now.
