I don't know. It seems that every 4-6 foot swell gets called "epic" these days.

These epic days seem further and further apart.

These epic days used to happen 2-3 times a month.

    September's used to go-off with non-hurricane activity.

    DPSUP: "Riley how goes it?"

    Oh oh, you axed.

It goes bad, SUP. I'm not happy doing what I'm doing. The only thing that gets me excited these days is mushrooms and train rides...in coordination. Yeah, I just want to dose, sit at a window seat and stare out the window of a train.

That's all I want to do these days. Wayne help me.

horrible combo...get out in nature or go to a "rock show". A train? I would go nuts!

ahh...the epic dayz. Spring and Fall on the outer banks always seemed fun. Maybe my memory is shot and it seemed like a few times a month in retrospect.

DP I agree on the older we get but I will say this, If we get some punchy w-chest glass, I am like a grom out there!!!

That's too bad man, I hope you can find some sense of satisfaction with what you're doing in the near future. Maybe a solid run of waves can raise your spirit? Let's hope man, let's hope.

    I'll smoke to that!

Nah, I dig it. I handle myself well under-the-influence. Well, I should have said I don't take big doses. So, I'm not like melting and sh!t.

Though the Puerto Rican shrooms I get, once in a while, are always suspect. They make me wonder at times. Though, he has been coming through lately. He's PR so he's unreliable. Not as unreliable as an illegal, but close. God, I just adore Hammonton, NJ.

El Niño Expected to Increase Nuisance Coastal Flooding in U.S.

    http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=3107

Yes, we know that this El Nino is destroying any hurricanes and shearing any tropical activity, depriving us of 'cane swells.

New reports from NOAA say this stronger than ever El Nino event will lead to more coastal flooding.. especially in Norfolk, VA (which is sinking anyway)

Read on... it also states that it has been studied that it may lead to more and stronger winter storms.. perhaps an increase in nor' easters?? Can we look forward to potential great winter swells? Let's hold on to some hope here. Lots of informative links in the page.

the data for that one chart is pretty retarded

    1. n values are skewed when you compare hours vs years (this is identity crisis or cry wolf, i cant remember)
    2. i suck at maths
    3. this fvcking thing does not take into account development (pervious vs impervious)
    4. i quit school in 10th grade....wtf do i know?
    5. wow, geologist are telling me that that the removal of ground water leads to subsidence? (which means developed coastal ares won't float as much)...lol....i is stupid
    6. IPCC scientist's are dropping like flies for their misinterpretation of data
    45. fvcking sea levels are static ....... no way

45848. we were supposed to be out oil now too ......that's what they said in the sevety's

This is the worst year for surf in NJ in at least a decade. Maybe 20 years even
There's no end in sight either.

That is not really news, but it is a good review article, I suppose.
Then of course, we have "global warming", which all of you Al Gore followers say is going to wreak havoc on the East Coast with, amongst others, hurricanes.
So, which is it?? Active storms, inactive, global warming, new ice age (as claimed 30 years ago)??
Sounds to me as if weather and climate forecasting cannot get better than looking out the window to tell what the weather is, despite satellite pictures, etc.
And that idiot Santorum wanted to depend on Accuweather??
