    I see longboard-able waves on Champlain and even Winnepesaki all the time. Not the stuff you would take your primo board out on, but if you could cut tight corners on shoreys you could definitely get some waves.

    Met a coupla dudes from ChicagoLand a few years back. They surf the lake as their home break, are totally into it & have 'contests' to see who can finish the winter sesh with the biggest beard icicles. Def not for everyone.

    haha good analaogy. Those are obviously really sizable waves for the EC, but there are shoulders so mushy on many of those waves that guys are practically having to cutback/hop just to stop from bogging.

    Idk about that... But it's good for the east coast.. But nothing really compared to Belmar
    Biggest waves I have seen riden in the eastcoast in the first day
