I don't really care about the names, maybe some of you guys are into that crap, (half of those names are in spanish or french or whatever, so I lost interest after "Cristobal") but really all *I* am seeing here are names of 6000 10 footers PER BEACH, and that's really all that matters.

your overanalyzing it. I just take the opposite of what they predict. so if they are saying an active year I say no good swells and vice versa. last year they said an active year and it was absurd so whatever they are sying take the opposite. yin and yang wtf are you talking about are you supposed to be bode from point break.

Id be happy with anything better then last year. 3 years ago was fun, we got hit by Irene and I actually lost power for a few days but it wasn't that bad. The waves were real fun leading up/after Irene for a few days. Then like a week later Katia came by, everyone was down in LB watching the asp contest and I was down the road with just a few guys out. And if I remember correctly I think there were some waves shortly after Katia too, not sure if it was a hurricane swell but I am pretty sure we had waves. Nothing HUGE or epic but lots of fun waves to be had that year. The year of Sandy sucked for obvious reasons, and last year was a needed break just so people don't go all storm crazy and start building islands of NJ/NY.

A few swells from passing storms would be awesome. No land fall please. Keep the island building/sand pumping dodos happy. After Irene/Sandy I think it would be better to have a few more less active years, not because of fear of damage, but because if we get hit by a 3rd storm I got a feeling the people in charge will go overboard. Possibly effecting the future of our breaks.

I hate to say it but im actually looking forward to winter already. I usually don't say that till at least mid summer. Im not even out of the 5/4 yet and im already seeing those summer pros poping up left and right. Overall this winter was a lot of fun, I surfed alone ALOT. I was spoiled and I don't want it to go away.

I'm definitely not looking for winter. Summer is just about the only time I'm able to do my surfing, due to $400 wetsuits, $100 boots, $60 gloves, ect.

How the F@ck are we supposed to be afraid of a Hurricane name 'Teddy'? It sounds all cuddly. The names should be scarier. For the 'T' storm I would name it Tyrannosaurus.

Teddy, short for Theodore, which means God love.

if WTI has anything do with that god love, I am horrified
