I would think so, especially if you don't have booties/gloves.

its 4/3 weather really, with 5mm boots. Go charge it and see how long you last... Its also easier to test out the thinner suit if its small and your not duck diving a lot.

You mean it's not head high, glassy and grinding where you are?

I think its a personal pref, but if you like your toes i'd say hell's yeah that's too cold! If your suit can't warm your core then you're hands and feet will be freezing. 45degree water is cold to the touch with just your hands. Water temp is 58 where i'm at and i'm in a 3/2 with 3mm boots.

did it tonight in va beach with my winter boots and gloves. i was out for about 1.5 hours and left because of the crowd. i was perfectly warm, though on a longboard. felt amazing to shed the rubber.

I'm in the Mid-Atlantic (OCMD, 46 water temp) and was out in a hooded 4:3 today w/ 3mm gloves and boots. I do not think I could have stayed out for as long as I did (an hour; sun was going down) in a 3:2. 3:2 w/ boots/gloves = short sesh, 3:2 w/o boots/gloves = no sesh. Sorry, gotta wait a bit longer for 3:2 temps.

Shed the gloves today, epic beach day, felt just right with the 4/3 and booties. Someguys were wading and swimming skinned it.

Yea i wore a 3/2 and didn't even wear gloves man. it was so nice out!! you should have paddled over to the other side of the jetty, i was over there by myself for 2 hours and i was having great time getting little head dips and practicing going switch.

The water just got up to 67 here, thinking about taking my boardshorts this weekend. Will probably bring the 3/2 just in case. Was a little warm last week when it was 62. Wish Texas had the waves to go with the warmth.

It was so warm here this winter I 4/3'd it a few times on small days, with 5mil boots and gloves. Normally it's full winter regalia from the end of December to the beginning of April for me. Can't remember ever doing that before.

i am from now on unless the crowd isnt bad over at 1st. the wave there is just better in general, but the people here are retarded. when it's big/good/cold, its fairly uncrowded, but when its small (knee to waist) and sunny everyone in the town comes out. its complete kookery. to prove it even more, i took a right yesterday, a guy dropped in on me and went right and when he "attempted" to back out our boards hit each other and he got mad at me for it when clearly he messed up...some people here are so stupid its amazing.
