Can definitely get it done for $500 if you're going by yourself.

I couldn't do PR from where I'm at for under 500.00 but I could do and have done what Metard is sayin' in FL. Just gotta bring sun tan lotion after being in a wetsuite for awhile (lesson learned the hard way). If I go far I would have to take wife and kids and that gets crazy expensive, also lesson learned the hard way.

Flights from Boston are much higher--roundtrip is at least 600 aprox with bags.

As for them roosters, they are known as "kikirikis" by the children in PR. That word imitates their morning "song".
