Maybe its just me, but I find it kind of absurd that I have to drive 30-35 minutes to go to the beach I surf at when I live on an island. And with the gas about 4.60 a gallon out here, its ridiculous
Traffic? Why... How many times a week would you say you get decent surf there? I have a brother that goes there.
I've heard the vineyeard doesn't get anything. Or maybe it was that only a few beaches actually break? Something like that. Can't remember
Dude, u live by martha's vineyard, quit your b!tch!ng. 1. life cant be that bad there (I can only imagine the house you live in)... & 2. you're crying about a 1/2hr drive, be grateful you were blessed w/ the life you've been handed (yes, handed.) No reason for the over-priveledged to be crying about miniscule B.S. Go get a stand-up paddle board if u want more time standing on your board or give it all up so the ppl that dont mind the drive ( however long it may be - 1/2 hr isnt $h!t, hoss), can enjoi the stoke w/o you being in the way, Nancy...
I was out about 7-10 days ago and there was awesome overhead surf. Only the south and SE sides if the island get waves. I go to the SE side because the waves break better there, the south facing beaches have awful shorebreak
Yeah man I'm not really complaining as much as It just seems kinda weird I have to drive so far when your on an island, its really a lot bigger than people think it it but its really beautiful out here
is this what the kids these days call a "humblebrag?" along the lines of "i really need to get a bigger bed because my girlfriend's boobs are just so big they take up all the room but i guess that's what you get when you date a swedish lingerie model..." or "those darn police are always pulling me over just because i drive a cherry red porsche..."
Hey if I had a 30 min drive for some sanity, I would gladly. I live at 8000' above sea level so it's a long drive for my buds n me. To really make it faster for yourself, sell the porscha and by a helicopter. To hear ya gripe is ok. I really feel ya. If ya can think how bad I got it, one wouldn't complain. We are all waiting on the sh!t to come in. Ya got a pretty full glass my man. Mine is half, yet I think of its as full. Just breath a little deeper on the drive and catch one for me and everyone else who can't as easily as yourself. Enjoy!
