please be aware that there is unknown amounts of wood, rope, metal wire(from fencing), and only god knows what else, all wrapped together and floating around most of the beaches on Delmarva, also there is visible and UN-visible pieces of metal, wood, plastic, etc,.. sticking in and out of the sand on area beaches as well.

It would not be smart to run out on local beaches if you are eager get to the surf. Many hidden sharp objects are sure to be just under the surface. Just be aware that this storm took out more beach front materials then what we have seen in a long time. Most likely you will be surfing with something in the water around you whether you see it or not.

    Be safe.

I saw alot of stuff yesterday in the water. Today seemed not as bad. there were alot of ppl floating around that were just wasting space and might as well have been fencing and wire... weekend warrior kooks

stepped on some dune fence wire today and it cut through my boots... on our way out of the water my buddy grabbed an 8 foot piling with one sharp pointed end with nails sticking out of it.
