If they're tidal locked, they have very low energy atmospheres and little wind = no surf

It would take humans approximately 500,000 years to travel to these plants given our current technology. Let's focus on fixing life on earth. NASA is a complete waste of money and Trump should gut it.

Fix life here on Earth?? Will never happen; unfortunately, humans have a primeval desire to kill, rape, etc.
I think NASA is on the right track IF they do not use humans, or plan to send humans anywhere. Too expensive and we never get the information we get from telescopes such as the Hubble did, and newer ones going up. They sure could be stream lined for this. Humans are way too stupid to travel "abroad". Between stupidity and lying, and killing....why bother with a Space Station--waste of money for sure.

Do you have any idea how much of the tech you used to post this comment came from tech that gets developed from programs like NASA?

Or did you pray to Jeebus and he delivered them computers and internets and googles?

Defense budget was around $600 billion last year, NASA was only $19 and even then was the largest it's been in a while. Also, a lot of what NASA develops goes straight to our military (why do you think we went to the moon? b\c it was there? No...a reason to develop big a$$ rockets.)

And how do you think all those spy satellites keeping an eye on our good buddies in China and N Korea get up there? Giant slingshot???

The nanoprobes they are developing make the most sense. Miniaturize as much as possible then push with a laser. Also they're developing a type of cluster telescope for space, where they can deploy several small ones that work as an array to do the work of a bigger one, but much easier to get up there.
