the 80s the worst decade of music prior to now

 

I heard kajagoogoo a couple days ago "too shy,shy" and threw up in my mouth a little.
There was some really crappy 80s music for sure. A lot of it had to do with all the new technology coming out at the time.

 

i dont know where it went wrong the 70s were great, but i think the technology did have a lot to do with it

 

They are both pretty awful by todays standards, but i guess I would have to choose Patty Smyth, her lips are kinda nice. Did anyone else absolutely hate high cut bathing suits in the 80s? That had to be the most unflattering style that there ever was. I remember i was at a girlfriends house swimming in her pool when she got home from work (she told me to come over at 3 but was caught in traffic). Anyhow she comes home and puts on her new bathing suit and its one of those things. I hate to say it but it was the beginning of the end of that relationship. That suit highlighted every flaw in her body that was well hidden when fully dressed or in a dark room.

 

We're recycling the 1980s right now and it's terrible.

The biggest tragedy of all - high wasted pants/shorts. Women have such little incentive to keep the flab off. It's like built-in spanks.

I miss the days of low-rise pants. Those made a girl work.

 

Zippy those suites are making a comeback here. Hard to look goode unless shes 6'5". Dated a girl who was short and had a zebra print suite like that. Not flattering. On the up side though the 80's brought the thong to the beach here. Police actually made girls cover up if some old bitty complained.

Agree they are both pretty gross. However, look at it this way. Joan Jett will stay in a relationship when she knows its not good. Mid eighties a buddy and I got tickets to the David Leterman show. While we were standing in line to go up to the studio i was hit from behind, right in the elbow with something hard. I said "ouch!" And turned to see Chrissie Hynde had hit me with a guitar case. She took my arm in in her hand, laughed a little bit and said "im so sorry". Then she just walked by and got on an elevator. I looked at my buddy and said "what the hell?" . We thought she was a guest on letterman but it turned out that she was the musical guest on SNL.
