    Good for them. Handplanes have a ridiculous mark up, $170-$200 seems right in the range and that blows my mind.

    It's pretty cool, but I wonder how long a business like that can survive, I would guess they'd have to move into other products because eventually the fad will wear off for most

    I actually saw the episode and the mark up seemed crazy. Seems like Costco could manufacture and market them for $19.95...

    This is the kind of business you hope to sell later. Selling out like whores like SS says but here I am selling my knowledge and skills to get the dollar bills. At least the real ones get to have lots of sex.

    handplanes are like yo yos and tomagotchi's

    once the kids grow up they will be into the next big thing. a few people will continue to pursue their expertise but its a fad.

    look at go pro.

    the only money in the oceans lie waiting in shipwrecks at the bottom
