Someone recently shared that with me, and I liked it, so I shared it with ya'll. I aspire to be "present" as much as possible. I am most "present" when navagating a barrel. Wave riding in general, has that effect, and it's profound.

Dougie Fresh this is righteous stuff dude. This is not a quote but a poem. I would encourage all to read (especially the young groms looking for a way to be). This was given to me when I was a "lost teen" and I read it time and time again....as I continued to live "MY Life", I kept coming back to it. A bit long but worth it I think. Yea..no doubt it's a tough one. I tend to glaze over that one thinking: When I'm old...like 70> and chilling in a rocking chair, don't be sitting there being pissed off because I can't paddle out an get pitted but, reflect back on all the times I did and be thankful. I think holding on to your youth in general is a good thing.
