Anyone have a achillies heel pain? If so what what do u do for it? It feels like I have tendonities or some tearing. I'm a little worried about how far I can push it.

Sniffer, i messed mine up at work around the 4th of July. Doctor told me not to surf or anything but i didnt really listen. It hurt like a ***** for a couple of weeks but if you take it easy and back off of it whenever you feel it tighten up or hurt you will probably be alright. Wasnt really anything the docs could do for me short of some unnecessary x rays

Thanks B. It doesn't hurt a whole lot but it's the first time I ever had pain down there. I think I will sit out this weeks weaker surf and get well for the next round of roctober surf!

I recently had this issue and felt like it was going to rip if i screwed up. had to keep surfing though, right? I did alot of stretching, and muscle work to build up the leg and tendon strength and give the achilles some support. Look at your nutrition too and see what foods will support regeneration of the tissue. All gone but definately on my mind.

you should probably get it checked out. you don't want to do something serious to it, then have to stay out of the water for the next few months. if its just a minor injury, then your call
