I suddenly have next week free to go on a solo surf trip. Trying to decide between right points of El Salvador (either posting up at El Zonte or Las Flores), right points in southern Oaxaca (Barra de la Cruz and/or La Bamba to avoid the surf guide thing), or all day offshores of Playa Colorados area in Nicaragua. Report shows biggest and most magic seaweed stars for Barra de la Cruz. But the other spots have good reports for next week too. I'm a regular footer and have been wanting to surf some right points but I like going left too. I haven't surfed since April, so not being in surf shape could be a factor. I read some forum posts suggesting El Salvador would mean long, mean paddles. But it is the one country of the three I havent visited. For those who have been to these spots, if I'm looking for the best chance for wave quality and avoiding a crowd, whats the best bet?
