Bro I live for closeouts. No it's not a barrell but if you can nail the takeoff on a gnarly closeout then you can ride a barrell in that same size wave when it doesn't close out in better conditions. Race for survival Bruh. Closeouts keep you honest, you get to go fast, and there's some satisfaction to be had when you make it. You're getting better every time you nail a gnarly drop. Right Zippy?
that's 90% of what you get in VB, when there's any size. I was surprised to find out what real waves were like the 1st time I surfed somewhere else.
