I've been thinking about building an alaia for small waves (2 feet and under). Does anyone ride them in these conditions? I know they are supposed to be very hard to stand up on, so I'm planning on riding it prone for a while and then maybe I'll gradually work up to it. Or maybe I'll just keep riding it prone. I'm thinking it would be a fun thing to mess around on when the waves are not really rideable anyway.

I love tiny surf!!! I surf my alaia in knee high slop all the time. It works great. It makes tiny surf fun especially when its clean. I'd love to surf a knee high point break on mine if we had a wave like that here...
